The Sachtler Video 18 S1 Fluid Head has incorporated a wider payload range and a faster, simpler balancing system than it's predecessor. The increased range means that even lightweight cameras, like HDSLRs, can be used on this head. The 16-step counterbalance system allows for fine degrees of tuning with many sized payloads. Like its predecessor, the Video 18 S1 can also easily handle heavier ENG camcorders, with a Boost Button now included for sudden shifts in payload range (i.e. when switching out a shoulder-mount camera for a compact HD camcorder or HDSLR). Along with the enhanced counterbalance come the features that made the original Video 18 so popular.
