RED-RAM (128GB) uses solid state media which means there are no moving parts. Think of it as two large memory cards setup in a RAID 0 format. The advantage is that you no longer need to be concerned with vibrations or bumps to the RED One, which can cause spinning media to malfunction.

RED-RAM runs at 120 fps in 2K, 60 fps 3K, 30 fps 4K with RECODE 36 and 16 x 9 aspect on the RED One.
