We finally talked Brian into making a base plate for the Canon C100/C300/C500 & now it's our favorite.
The camera is mounted to the base plate via one 1/4-20 and one 3/8-16 captive screw. These camera mounting screws both have the same hex head size so just one 5/32 hex key is required to mount your camera. Additional locating pins front and rear ensure that your camera stays perfectly centered and will not twist.
It also has 2 clamps per 15mm rod so they won't twist - a big plus when configuring hand held rigs.
